Miami, FL – A Palm Beach County man, Jorge Ibarra, 31, has been sentenced to 24 months in federal prison for conducting a prolonged cyberstalking campaign against two individuals. Ibarra’s sentencing took place in federal court following his guilty plea to two counts of cyberstalking earlier this year.

The case, overseen by U.S. District Judge Donald M. Middlebrooks, revealed that Ibarra engaged in a campaign of harassment and intimidation using electronic communication systems. From January 31, 2022, to November 11, 2024, Ibarra targeted his first victim, causing them to fear for their life and physical safety.

In a related series of actions from March 4, 2023, to October 30, 2024, Ibarra similarly threatened a second victim, using interstate electronic communications to instill fear of death and serious injury. His methods were described as persistent, threatening, and intended to terrorize both individuals.

Ibarra was indicted in December 2024 and entered his guilty plea on February 19, 2025, during a hearing in West Palm Beach. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Mark Dispoto and investigated by the FBI’s Miami Field Office, specifically the Palm Beach Resident Agency.

U.S. Attorney Hayden P. O’Byrne for the Southern District of Florida and acting Special Agent in Charge Brett Skiles of the FBI, Miami Field Office, announced the sentencing.
