South Florida Gangs, Including Zoe Mafia Family, Convicted on Drug and Firearms Charges in Federal Court

Miami, FL – In a significant crackdown on violent street gangs in South Florida, federal authorities have secured convictions and prison sentences for 18 individuals linked to notorious groups such as the Zoe Mafia Family (ZMF), the 3rd World gang, and various sects of the Bloods gang. This coordinated effort involved the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Miami, and the Broward Sheriff’s Office, with support from other federal and local law enforcement agencies.

The operation targeted crimes including trafficking fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine, as well as illegal possession of firearms. Authorities seized 23 firearms, three kilograms of fentanyl, seven kilograms of cocaine, and additional quantities of methamphetamine, crack cocaine, and marijuana.

The sentenced individuals, previously residing in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties, received varying prison terms:

– Andre Allen, 37, received 120 months for possession with intent to distribute fentanyl.
– David Brown, 41, was sentenced to 151 months for similar charges.
– Tirell Caldwell, 26, received 57 months for possession of a firearm as a convicted felon.
– Johnnie Gibson, 51, was sentenced to 175 months for possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and cocaine.
– Brionne Griffin, 35, received 60 months for possession with intent to distribute multiple drugs.
– Joseph Johnson, Jr., 46, received 120 months for fentanyl distribution.
– Timothy Neil Lewis, Jr., 26, was sentenced to 60 months for firearm possession in furtherance of drug trafficking.
– Makinson Moise, 35, received 248 months for multiple charges including firearm possession and drug distribution.
– Arnicious Odom, 48, was sentenced to 30 months for drug distribution.
– Wendy Previl, 33, received 120 months for firearm possession and drug distribution.
– Joshua Robinson, 38, was sentenced to 51 months for methamphetamine distribution.
– Robert Roseme, 28, received 42 months for fentanyl distribution.
– Nolan Setoute, 43, was sentenced to 12 months for firearm possession as a felon.
– Terrance Stanley, 40, received 60 months for firearm possession related to drug trafficking.
– Dorshawn Tate, 20, was sentenced to 8 months for alprazolam distribution.
– British Wilkerson, 42, received 60 months for firearm possession in drug trafficking.
– Byron Felecio Williams, Jr., 40, received 60 months for similar firearm charges.
– Kevin Williams, 31, was sentenced to 18 months for methamphetamine distribution.

This operation is part of the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) initiative, which aims to dismantle high-level criminal organizations through a collaborative, intelligence-driven approach. The U.S. State Department recently designated two Haitian gangs as Foreign Terrorist Organizations, underscoring the ongoing efforts to combat organized crime.
