A woman has been charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 61-year-old man that occurred in October in Chicago’s South Shore neighborhood. The individual, identified as Catherine Perry, aged 34, faces charges of first-degree murder and attempted arson.
The incident took place on October 14 on the 7100 block of South East End Avenue, resulting in the death of the man involved. Following an investigation, authorities apprehended Perry on Tuesday at the 1800 block of East 71st Street, where she was identified as the suspect responsible for the crime.
Perry is scheduled to attend a detention hearing on Friday, where further legal proceedings are expected to be discussed. The case remains under scrutiny as the judicial process continues to unfold.
