Sunday Weather Forecast: What to Wear for Egg Hunts—Raincoats or Sunglasses?

As the weekend approaches, the initially promising weather is set to change as forecasts predict rain on Easter Sunday. Though Friday offered clear skies, the National Weather Service indicates that this pleasant weather will not persist through the holiday weekend.

Saturday morning is expected to begin with light rain, but the day will largely remain dry. The afternoon is predicted to break into more sunshine, providing mostly to partly sunny skies. However, more widespread showers are anticipated for the following day.

Sunday’s weather is forecasted to be cool and showery, with temperatures slightly cooler than those on Saturday, hovering around the upper 50s. Rain gear might be necessary, as there is a likelihood of showers substantial enough to warrant extra protection.

In Tacoma, a more detailed forecast shows a 50% chance of rain after 11 a.m. on Easter Sunday. The skies are expected to remain mostly cloudy with a high near 57 degrees and winds ranging from 6 to 10 mph. Olympia is predicted to experience similar weather conditions, with mostly cloudy skies, a high near 58 degrees, winds between 6 and 13 mph, and a 60% chance of precipitation.

Looking into next week, the weather is expected to improve. Drier conditions are anticipated, with temperatures beginning to rise. By midweek, temperatures could reach the mid-60s, eventually climbing to the upper 60s and lower 70s by Thursday.
