Traffic Rerouted at Airport Exit Due to Brush Fire Near I-90

A brush fire erupted along Interstate 90, disrupting traffic west of Spokane as it temporarily blocked the off-ramp leading to Airway Heights and the Spokane International Airport. The incident caused a brief inconvenience, but both lanes were reopened by Friday evening.

The Washington State Department of Transportation initially reported the fire around 3:30 p.m. on Friday, indicating that it would cause traffic delays as smoke was visible above the interstate. Firefighters swiftly responded to the situation, and by shortly after 5 p.m., traffic flow had returned to normal according to transportation officials.
