Upcoming Pet Adoption Events

Grand Companions, a dedicated organization working to support homeless pets in West Texas, is hosting several adoption events in Midland and Odessa. These events aim to connect potential pet owners with animals in need of loving homes.

On Saturday, April 19, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Grand Companions will be present at Kendra Scott, located at 2900 W Loop 250 in Midland. During this event, attendees will have the opportunity to meet a selection of adoptable pets. Additionally, Kendra Scott will contribute 20% of sales made in-store and online on this day to support Grand Companions’ mission.

The following day, Sunday, April 20, the organization will continue its efforts at Petco, situated at 6209 TX-191 in Odessa, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event invites community members to consider adopting a pet or simply enjoy interacting with the animals available for adoption.

On Saturday, April 26, Grand Companions will bring their adoptable animals to the Midland Downtown Farmers Market, located at 404 N Colorado St., from 8 a.m. to noon. This event features not only these adorable pets but also a variety of local vendors, providing a vibrant community experience.

Further, on Thursday, May 1, “Hike with a Homeless Pet” will offer a unique opportunity for both people and dogs to enjoy the outdoors. Taking place from 9 to 10 a.m. at Sibley Nature Center, 1307 E Wadley Ave., Midland, this event encourages participants to engage with nature while offering homeless dogs a chance to exercise and socialize.

For 35 years, Grand Companions has been a vital resource in the region, committed to rescuing, sheltering, and finding forever homes for homeless animals. Operating from locations in Fort Davis and Midland, the organization has facilitated countless adoptions, strengthening the bond between pets and their new families.
