Authorities reported receiving notification of the incident at precisely 2:09 p.m. in Fullerton, located in Orange County. The mishap prompted an immediate response from both police and fire departments, who endeavored to control the resulting fire and promptly evacuated nearby businesses. Kristy Wells, a spokesperson for the Fullerton police, confirmed these details but mentioned that the specific type of aircraft involved remained unidentified. Moreover, it was unclear whether those injured were passengers or individuals situated on the ground.
Video footage captured by KABC provided a closer look at the aftermath, showcasing white smoke billowing from the top of the affected building. The crash site was in proximity to the Fullerton Municipal Airport, a venue designated for general aviation activities, situated a mere six miles from Disneyland. This airport features a single runway and heliport.
