On Christmas Day, a violent altercation in the Naranja neighborhood of Miami-Dade County led to a shooting that critically injured four individuals.
Police have apprehended a suspect following a shooting in Miami-Dade County, Florida, that resulted in four people being hospitalized with injuries. The incident occurred during the evening hours in the residential area near Southwest 266th Street and 138th Court. Authorities report that an altercation escalated between 31-year-old Dacia Allie Tisdale and one of the victims at a local home.
According to the Miami-Dade police, the situation intensified when Tisdale allegedly retrieved a firearm from her vehicle and discharged it into the front yard, striking three people. She then fled the scene in a dark red Chevrolet, albeit returning shortly after to reportedly fire additional shots, injuring a fourth person.
Before the arrival of law enforcement, friends of the victims transported three of the injured to a nearby hospital in Homestead. The severity of their conditions necessitated the airlifting of two individuals to Jackson South Medical Center. A fourth victim was directly taken to the same medical facility by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue. Initially, all four patients were listed in a stable state as of the following Friday.
The victims later positively identified Tisdale as the assailant in a photo lineup. Subsequently, police located her at another residence and proceeded with her arrest without incident. The arrest report reveals that Tisdale used the alias ‘Sexy Red,’ but authorities clarified she has no known connections to musician Sexyy Redd, whose real name is Janae Nierah Wherry.
While authorities have urged anyone with further information to come forward, the motive behind the shooting remains undetermined. Detective Andre Martin from the Miami-Dade Police Department continues to spearhead the investigation, seeking to piece together more insights into this complex case.
