According to Beaumont police spokesperson Rodrick Williams, the operation began around 8 a.m. when the SWAT team executed a search warrant at the property. Investigators had previously searched the same house on October 29 as part of a narcotics trafficking inquiry, resulting in the arrests of a 30-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman at that time.
Detectives reopened the investigation after receiving additional complaints from the community suggesting criminal activity had resumed. Williams stated that authorities obtained evidence indicating a 53-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man were utilizing the residence to distribute illegal drugs. Based on these findings, detectives presented evidence to the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office and secured arrest warrants for the two suspects.
