Bradenton Police Seek Public Assistance in Identifying Package Thieves

On November 29, the Bradenton Police Department reported an incident involving two individuals accused of stealing packages in the Glen Creek community.

Surveillance footage captured at around 2:45 p.m. depicts a male and a female suspect engaged in the theft of several Amazon packages. The male was identified by his attire, which included a black hoodie, jeans, and glasses. Meanwhile, the female accomplice was noted for wearing a long-sleeve white shirt, black gym shorts, a camouflage face covering, and distinctive yellow Crocs. Adding to the peculiarity, she was observed with an ankle monitor on her right leg.

The Bradenton Police Department is keen to identify these individuals and urges anyone with information to come forward. In particular, Detective Gow has been assigned to the case, and those who might have leads are encouraged to contact him via email at jay.gow@bradentonpd.com or by phone at 941-932-9373.

This event highlights the ongoing issue of “porch piracy,” a term used to describe the theft of packages left unattended at residential properties. With the rise in online shopping, especially around the holiday season, such incidents are becoming increasingly common. Authorities stress the importance of community vigilance and recommend residents take precautions, such as installing security cameras or having packages delivered to secure locations.

The Bradenton Police Department is taking this case seriously and hopes the public’s cooperation will lead to the identification and apprehension of the suspects. Community involvement is crucial in addressing and mitigating such criminal activities.
