Ladd confirmed that Scarbrough was transported to a local hospital for emergency treatment but succumbed to his injuries several days later.
According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, Scarbrough was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The driver of the passenger vehicle involved in the collision remained at the scene and was interviewed by responding officers.
