Travelers gearing up for the Thanksgiving holiday have a chance to benefit from Circle K’s generous gas discount initiative. On Thursday, November 21, Circle K will host its Fuel Day, offering a substantial discount of up to 40 cents off per gallon from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time. This effort aims to help ease the financial burden on drivers during one of the busiest travel periods of the year, as nearly 71.7 million Americans are expected to take to the roads according to AAA forecasts.
Many drivers might notice a welcome relief as gas prices are set to drop significantly in select areas. Circle K’s Fuel Day is a nationwide event where the convenience store chain offers discounted gas prices, sometimes reaching a reduction of 40 cents per gallon, tailored by local regulations and taxes. This promotion has been previously observed during other busy travel holidays, such as Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends.
Louise Warner, Circle K’s executive vice president for North American Operations, emphasized the company’s intention to support customers amidst their holiday travels. “As many customers take to the roads visiting their loved ones and celebrating what they are grateful for, we want to extend our thanks to our valued customers with a great markdown at the pump,” Warner stated, highlighting the company’s commitment to providing affordable fuel options.
Currently, gas prices in Florida have seen a slight uptick to an average of $3.03 per gallon for regular fuel, compared to last week’s $2.93. However, the state’s current average remains below November’s earlier price of $3.12 per gallon. GasBuddy reports a state average of $3.063 per gallon, with some areas like the Panhandle experiencing prices as low as $2.689 per gallon.
More than 5,000 Circle K locations across the United States are participating in this special Fuel Day. Florida drivers can take advantage of the discount at any participating Circle K station, of which there are 727 throughout the state offering this promotion. The discount applies only when purchasing gas during the specified hours, and customers must be in line before the 7 p.m. cutoff to qualify for the adjustment, as long as supplies last.
Circle K’s Fuel Day represents a valuable opportunity for travelers to save on fuel costs during the bustling Thanksgiving period. By providing these discounts, Circle K not only eases the financial load on drivers but also demonstrates its appreciation for its customers. This initiative underscores the company’s goal of making travel more affordable and accessible during key holiday seasons.
