According to the EPD, officers responded to the scene at approximately 4:17 p.m. on February 13, 2026, following reports of an injury traffic collision. Upon arrival, first responders located the pedestrian, who was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim’s identity has not been released pending full notification of next of kin.
Investigators from the EPD’s Criminal Investigations Unit and Major Injury Team determined that the pedestrian was crossing westbound across Broadway within a designated crosswalk at the time of the impact.
