Detectives launched an investigation into a fatal shooting that occurred on Friday in Florida City. The Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office was called upon by the Florida City Police Department to assist with the case. Law enforcement officers, including deputies and police, were dispatched to the vicinity of Southwest Seventh Terrace and Sixth Avenue, close to the Pineland Preserve.
During the response, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel utilized a helicopter to transport one victim, who was classified as a trauma alert. The situation is still under investigation, with further details yet to be released.
