The collision occurred shortly before 5:30 p.m. in the area of northbound I-580 between Eastlake Boulevard and North Carson Street. Investigators have determined that a vehicle traveling northbound hit the pedestrian, who was in the roadway. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
As a result of the crash, authorities have closed all northbound traffic on I-580 at College Parkway. Additionally, North Carson Street is closed to northbound traffic at Arrowhead Drive.
