Joint Agency Investigation
The investigation, which began in September 2025, was a collaborative effort involving the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division, the DEA’s Augusta office, the McDuffie County Sheriff’s Office, the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office, and the Georgia National Guard Counterdrug Task Force. Authorities identified the suspects as Tyrone Tolbert Jr., Reizhjon Coleman, Jhrquer Teagal, Nekiyah Booker, and Derwood Stubbs Jr., who are accused of distributing fentanyl, methamphetamine, and marijuana.
Search Warrants and Seizures
On November 19, law enforcement executed search warrants at three locations in Augusta, Georgia, and one in Graniteville, South Carolina. The searches yielded significant contraband, including 8,372.9 grams of methamphetamine, 1,233.9 grams of powder fentanyl, 200 fentanyl pills, 4,911.3 grams of marijuana, 129 grams of cocaine, and various prescription pills. Additionally, officers seized three firearms and $123,627 in U.S. currency.

The five individuals face numerous charges, including trafficking in fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine, as well as various firearms offenses. The specific charges vary for each individual based on their alleged involvement in the drug trafficking organization.
