Florida Malls Thanksgiving and Black Friday Schedule

As the holiday shopping season approaches, knowing when Florida’s popular malls are open becomes crucial for many eager shoppers. While Thanksgiving Day sees limited mall activity, Black Friday reflects a return to the bustling retail excitement.

Thanksgiving has traditionally been a day when many stores are closed, allowing employees to enjoy time with their families. This year is no different for most Florida malls. For instance, Aventura Mall in Aventura, Florida, will remain closed on Thanksgiving but open its doors from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Black Friday.

Orlando’s The Florida Mall will also be closed on Thanksgiving, welcoming shoppers from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on the following day. Disney Springs in Lake Buena Vista, however, will keep its regular hours from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Thanksgiving and extend its hours slightly on Black Friday until 11:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, the Dolphin Mall in Miami will not open on Thanksgiving but will operate from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Black Friday. Similarly, Sawgrass Mills in Sunrise will have closed doors on Thanksgiving but will open early at 6 a.m. on Black Friday, closing at 10 p.m.

Some variations exist, such as Bayside Marketplace in Miami, where hours may differ by store or restaurant. The same hours flexibility applies to CityPlace in West Palm Beach, showing that not all malls adhere to a uniform schedule.

On the other hand, Regency Square Mall in Jacksonville is one of the few that will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thanksgiving. Their Black Friday hours remain the same. The Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens and Town Center at Boca Raton will open at 9 a.m., following Thanksgiving closings.

St. Johns Town Center in Jacksonville and The Mall at Millenia in Orlando will both resume activities on Black Friday at 6 a.m. and 8 a.m., respectively, after being closed on Thanksgiving.

Despite the trend of malls closing for Thanksgiving, Black Friday continues to be a major attraction for shoppers. Whether you wish to enjoy Thanksgiving with family or strategize for Black Friday deals, Florida’s malls offer varied schedules to accommodate all preferences.
