Florida Man Arrested for Alleged Threats Against Pro-Israel Group

A Gainesville man faces federal charges following accusations of threatening a pro-Israel organization in Plantation, Florida.

Forrest Pemberton, 26, has been arrested and charged with federal stalking after allegedly plotting to attack the local offices of the America Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).

According to prosecutors, Pemberton intended to “kill, injure, harass, and intimidate” staff working at the AIPAC offices. The allegations include an attempt to target individuals at these premises, highlighting the seriousness of the threats made.

Officials reported that Pemberton visited Plantation to survey the AIPAC offices before returning with three concealed weapons. These actions suggest a deliberate plan to follow through with the threats against the organization’s staff.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) tracked Pemberton to Tallahassee, where they arrested him at the onset of Hanukkah. This swift action by federal authorities underscores the importance of timely intervention in preventing potential acts of violence.

The arrest of Forrest Pemberton on federal stalking charges draws attention to the ongoing dangers posed by threats against organizations. This incident serves as a reminder of the critical role played by law enforcement in safeguarding communities from targeted violence.
