Spencer, 51, was initially charged with five counts of unauthorized videotaping following his arrest in late December 2024. The DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office expanded the charges significantly this week following a nearly yearlong investigation. Prosecutors allege that hidden cameras, a recording device, and a hard drive were discovered inside treatment rooms at Reflexion Spa, located in downtown Hinsdale, after police acted on a tip received regarding potential illicit surveillance.
Hinsdale Police Chief Brian King stated that detectives conducted an extensive review of digital evidence and interviewed hundreds of customers as part of the inquiry. The Village of Hinsdale has since revoked the business’s license, and the spa remains closed.
