In an unsettling event early Saturday morning, a disagreement at a Lakeland nightclub escalated into a violent altercation, ultimately leading to a stabbing as confirmed by the Lakeland Police Department.

The confrontation occurred on the patio of the nightclub and involved Johnnie Brown IV, aged 24, and a 22-year-old man whose name was not disclosed. Reportedly, the argument intensified when Brown allegedly attacked the victim from behind, inflicting four stab wounds to his back before leaving the scene without alerting authorities.

Witnesses at the nightclub provided crucial information, identifying the assailant as Brown, who was known to reside in Winter Haven. One witness also noted Brown’s use of a racial slur during the incident, hinting at potential racial motives behind the violence. Following the attack, the victim was transported to a nearby hospital where medical professionals ensured that his injuries were not life-threatening.
