Investigation Underway in Brownsville Shooting Incident

In Miami-Dade County, authorities are currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Tuesday morning in the Brownsville neighborhood.

Police responded to the reports of gunfire at approximately 9:55 a.m. at the intersection of Northwest 21st Avenue and 50th Street. Upon arrival, they discovered a man with a laceration to his hand.

According to Detective Angel Rodriguez from the Miami-Dade Police Department, the injured man, who remains unnamed, was engaged in an altercation with another individual before the situation escalated. During the confrontation, the suspect allegedly drew a firearm.

As the victim attempted to escape, the suspect fired shots. Fortunately, the bullets did not hit the victim; however, he sustained a laceration while fleeing the scene. Subsequently, the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported him to a local hospital, where he is reported to be in stable condition.

The shooter escaped in an unknown direction, prompting ongoing efforts by detectives to gather further details and assess the situation. As of now, no information regarding the motive behind the shooting or the identities involved has been disclosed.

As the investigation continues, authorities are keen to determine the motivation behind the incident and gather additional details about the suspect’s identity and whereabouts.
