According to the arrest report, the crime spree allegedly began on January 13 at a Dollar General on Old Kings Road South. Investigators subsequently linked Muhammad to a robbery the following day at a Mobil gas station on Old St. Augustine Road. The sequence of events continued on January 17, when officers responded to a robbery at a Whataburger on San Jose Boulevard. In that incident, a cashier reported that a man wearing black clothing, a surgical mask, and Crocs pointed a firearm at employees and demanded cash.
The investigation culminated following a January 18 robbery at a Domino’s Pizza on Cassat Avenue. JSO detectives determined that the suspect fled the scene utilizing a Lyft vehicle.
