FORNEY, Texas — A coordinated law enforcement operation executed on February 4, 2026, resulted in the seizure of substantial quantities of methamphetamine and the arrest of a suspect on federal charges, according to the Terrell Police Department. The high-risk narcotics warrant was served at a residence on Kimbro Drive by the Terrell Police Department in collaboration with the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team and Street Crimes Unit.
Law enforcement officials reported that the tactical entry at 1031 Kimbro Drive was conducted without incident, and all occupants were immediately secured. During the search, investigators recovered over 200 grams of methamphetamine, along with other suspected controlled substances that are currently pending laboratory analysis. The inventory of seized items also included a concealed firearm, ammunition, digital scales, and $1,364 in U.S. currency. Additionally, officers impounded multiple vehicles allegedly linked to the operation, one of which was confirmed to have been stolen from Houston.
Markish Woodard, a 39-year-old resident of Forney, was taken into custody at the scene. According to police statements, Woodard was arrested on an active federal warrant issued by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and has been transferred to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service. State felony charges are also pending against the suspect.
