Lakeland Man Facing Charges for Alleged Assaults on Minor

A Lakeland resident, aged 25, is facing serious allegations of having inappropriate relations with a minor multiple times at a house in Winter Haven during Thanksgiving break.

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Stephon Chad Fulse Jr. was apprehended at his residence on Monday after disclosures from the victim’s school prompted the investigation. Authorities were informed that Fulse allegedly engaged in intercourse with the underage victim on four separate occasions.

Investigators have confirmed that both the victim and Fulse were present at the same Winter Haven location between November 25th and December 8th. During this period, Fulse reportedly confessed in a phone conversation with the victim’s father, acknowledging the encounters and admitting awareness of the victim’s age. Both parties have accurately described the residence where these incidents allegedly took place.

Stephon Chad Fulse Jr. now faces four counts of sexual battery involving a minor aged 12 to 17, a charge classified as a first-degree felony. Winter Haven Police Chief Vance Monroe expressed his strong disapproval of the crimes, stating, “This absolutely sickens me to hear of the innocence robbed from this young child. I am so glad this child trusted an adult to tell of these horrific acts and get this guy behind bars.”

The police have urged anyone with additional information regarding other potential victims to contact the Winter Haven Police Department at the provided number.

The case against Stephon Chad Fulse Jr. underscores the importance of trusted relationships between children and adults. This incident highlights the effectiveness of reporting channels in addressing such grievous offenses and bringing perpetrators to justice.
