On Friday morning in Attleboro, Massachusetts, a road rage incident led to the arrest of 26-year-old Gladior Kwesiah from Pawtucket, Rhode Island. The altercation occurred after Kwesiah’s car was involved in a minor collision, being rear-ended by another vehicle at the intersection of Route 1 and Route 1A.

Following the crash, a witness reported seeing Kwesiah bang on the roof of the woman’s car before forcibly removing her from the vehicle. Identified as Hailea Soares, the woman was involved in a verbal altercation with Kwesiah, during which she requested he leave her alone. It was at this point that Kwesiah allegedly picked her up and slammed her to the ground, an incident captured on video by an eyewitness.

Authorities found Soares lying on the road in distress, crying and bleeding from her injuries. She was swiftly transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital where she received treatment for a broken knee, a broken foot, injuries to her eye socket, and a significant skull injury. In a statement, Soares, who is a mother of two, expressed the terror she felt during the attack. ‘The only thing that I could think of was I knew that I was in the air and by the time that I realized I was in the air and I thought to myself, I might die right now, I had already hit the ground. It was like a weird sensation and I realized I was on the ground, and I rolled over and there was blood dripping all over my hands,’ she recounted.

Kwesiah faces multiple charges, including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious injury, malicious destruction of property, and operating a motor vehicle without a license.

The case highlights the severe consequences of road rage and underscores the importance of maintaining composure in stressful driving situations.
