A disturbing incident unfolded in Miami last week when a local man, identified as 22-year-old Emile Milord Bien-Aime, allegedly engaged in a violent confrontation with his uncle, as detailed in an arrest report.
Authorities reported that Miami police responded to a ShotSpotter notification on December 27, which led them to the victim’s residence. The exact address remains undisclosed in the public report.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that Bien-Aime had visited his uncle’s home uninvited while his uncle was entertaining friends. According to police, an argument erupted between Bien-Aime and his uncle after he allegedly began disrespecting the guests.
The situation escalated, resulting in Bien-Aime reportedly striking his uncle on the back of the head with a silver firearm. As his uncle attempted to retreat toward the front door, Bien-Aime is said to have discharged the weapon twice, missing his target.
Witnesses present during the incident corroborated the victim’s account and identified Bien-Aime using a photograph. Subsequently, Bien-Aime fled the scene of the altercation. However, the Miami Police Department’s Violence Apprehension Team later apprehended him.
After being taken into custody, Bien-Aime reportedly declined to provide a statement post-Miranda rights notification. Jail records indicate he is facing charges including attempted felony murder with a firearm and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
As of the latest reports, Bien-Aime is detained at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, pending the setting of his bond.
This incident highlights the serious implications of domestic disputes escalating to violence, underlining the importance of resolving conflicts through communication rather than aggression.
