New Developments in the Search for Missing Miramar Senior

In Miramar, the search intensifies for a senior citizen recently diagnosed with dementia, reported missing earlier this week. Surveillance photographs have surfaced, tracing her steps to the North Dade Justice Center the same day she vanished.

The missing woman, Rosa Richardson, is 75 years old and previously worked at the courthouse. Her absence has deeply concerned her family, especially her son, Lamont Richardson. ‘It was probably one of my worst Christmases,’ he remarked, lamenting her absence during the holiday season.

New evidence places Rosa at the courthouse on Biscayne Boulevard near Northeast 151st Street. In the images, she is seen passing through security and conversing with individuals outside the building. This sighting suggests that she made her way to the courthouse some time after she was last seen by her son.

On the day of her disappearance, Lamont last saw his mother seated on a chair outside their residence on Camelia Drive near Southwest 69th Street and Miramar Parkway. This was early Monday morning, around 7 a.m. She was reportedly anxious about picking up a check from the courthouse, a task she had spoken of persistently since her retirement.

The family and authorities suspect that Rosa might have taken a bus from Miramar to the courthouse and then boarded another bus, possibly the 75A route, which may have led her to the Golden Glades area.

Lamont expressed his worries about her exposure to adverse weather conditions. ‘She’s out in the streets, the weather and all the elements,’ he said, fearing for her safety.

The ongoing search effort for Rosa Richardson underscores the challenges faced by families dealing with dementia. As authorities continue to follow leads, her family holds onto hope for her safe return.
