A shooting incident is currently under investigation by the Newton County Sheriff’s Office following reports on a recent Saturday morning. Deputies responded to Woodcrest Drive around 9:44 a.m. after receiving calls about gunshots fired at a residence. Upon arriving, authorities confirmed that shots had indeed been fired at the house, but fortunately, no occupants were harmed.
Residents in the Country Woods neighborhood are being urged to review their security cameras for any unusual activity that may have occurred between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. on the day of the incident. The individual believed to be responsible is described as a tall man dressed entirely in black, wearing a ski mask, and a hoodie featuring a skeleton design on the front.
