Officers also reportedly seized a backpack containing a plastic bag with cocaine residue, alongside personal documents including a utility bill and prescription bottles bearing Wallace’s name.
The investigation began a day prior, on February 25, when officers responded to a reported domestic dispute at the same location. The criminal complaint alleges that Wallace was involved in a verbal altercation that escalated physically, resulting in him allegedly placing his hands around an individual’s neck and obstructing their breathing. Following the altercation, a law enforcement source stated that Wallace retreated to the hotel lobby and locked himself in a bathroom until police arrived. During a search of his person at that time, officers allegedly recovered a glass pipe with methamphetamine residue in his pocket.
