One person was taken into custody after the Dutchess County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at a Town of Poughkeepsie apartment on Wednesday, seizing quantities of fentanyl and cocaine. The raid, which occurred at 7 Jones Street, is part of a continuing investigation into narcotics sales in the Poughkeepsie area.
Task force agents, with assistance from a Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit, conducted the raid at approximately 12:30 p.m. on November 12, 2025. This marks the second time this year that law enforcement has targeted the six-unit apartment building; a separate raid in March 2025 at a different apartment in the same building resulted in five arrests on drug-related charges.
According to Detective Sergeant Adam Harris, the task force coordinator, the operation was successful. “Dutchess County Drug Task Force agents were able to locate and seize fentanyl and cocaine in the apartment, and take a suspected drug dealer into custody,” Harris stated. He emphasized the agency’s commitment to acting on community tips to address illegal drug activity.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have indicated that further details, including the identity of the individual arrested, will be released after the suspect has been processed. It is important to note that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
