According to reports from the Miramar police, the unfortunate event occurred around 9:30 p.m. on the 6800 block of Miramar Parkway. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a Black female deceased on the roadway. Initial investigations suggest the driver was traveling eastbound on Miramar Parkway when the woman ran across the road towards a bus stop.
The spokesperson for the police department explained that the collision happened as the pedestrian unexpectedly entered the path of the vehicle. As a result, the roadway was subsequently closed to traffic to facilitate the investigation into the accident.
