Police say officers from the 9th Police District launched an investigation after the victim arrived at Jefferson University Hospital for treatment around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 23. The incident reportedly occurred on the westbound platform of the transit hub, located near the 1500 block of Market Street in Center City.
According to the police report, the three suspects approached the victim, and one demanded money. During the confrontation, the victim managed to disarm a suspect who was holding a knife. Following the disarmament, the three suspects allegedly proceeded to punch and kick the victim before fleeing the scene on a westbound SEPTA train.
