ROCHDALE, UK – Police in Greater Manchester have seized a significant cache of weapons and illegal drugs following a raid on a business unit in Rochdale. The operation, conducted by Greater Manchester Police (GMP) on Dane Street, was part of an intelligence-led investigation under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Among the items confiscated were a crossbow, 13 baseball bats, a hockey stick, and seven knuckle dusters. Authorities also discovered 291 large canisters of nitrous oxide, classified as a Class C drug, along with ballistic body armor, drug paraphernalia, and seven mobile phones police believe were intended for anonymous use.

Sgt. Daniel Shirazi of the GMP commented on the operation’s objective. “This operation demonstrates just how effective warrants are in disrupting criminal activity,” he said in a statement. “By acting on intelligence and executing targeted searches, we can remove harmful substances and dangerous weapons from circulation before they can be used to cause harm. Public safety is our priority.”
