Audino’s long-standing service record bolsters his candidacy, reflecting a commitment to public service beyond his military career. He has been associated with Waltz’s office since 2018, holding the position of district director. His military journey began with his graduation from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1983, eventually leading to his retirement as a brigadier general after a distinguished 28-year career.
His array of roles in the Army encompassed key positions such as scout and tank platoon leader, Army congressional fellow, and notably, chief combat advisor for Kurdish peshmerga units during a critical period in northern Iraq from 2005 to 2006. Later, he served in the Pentagon as the assistant to the vice chairman for the Joint Chiefs of Staff and deputy director of operations.
Beyond his military prowess, Audino holds a juris doctor degree from Vermont Law School and a master’s in national security and strategic studies from the National War College. His academic background complements his practical experience, positioning him as a knowledgeable figure in both military and strategic circles.
Currently, Audino is actively involved as a senior military fellow at the Gold Institute for International Strategy and contributes to scholarly discourse through advisory roles at the University of Central Florida’s Middle Eastern Studies Program. His engagement extends to the World Affairs Council of Miami, where he held the position of director.
From 2011 to 2017, Audino also explored the corporate sector, with roles in military market development and product management at Raydon Corp., harnessing his expertise to bridge military and civilian applications in technology.
