ASHEBORO, N.C. — A 66-year-old Randolph County man has been arrested and faces multiple felony charges after law enforcement officials discovered a significant quantity of narcotics and firearms at a local residence. The search was conducted on November 18 by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Vice Narcotics Unit and the Criminal Interdiction Team.
Authorities executed a search warrant at a home on NC Hwy 49 S. in Asheboro. During the search, investigators seized cocaine, alprazolam, amphetamine, and THC wax. They also found various items of drug paraphernalia, 19 firearms, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency.
The resident, identified as Strader Allen Briles, was taken into custody at the scene. He has been charged with several felonies, including possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver controlled substances and maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances.
Following his arrest, Briles was held at the Randolph County Detention Center on a $20,000 secured bond and was scheduled for a court appearance on November 19. It is important to note that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
