Police responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 11:17 a.m. on November 9, 2025, in the 2500 block of Shenandoah Avenue NW. Upon arrival, officers discovered Crowder with gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene. Shortly thereafter, authorities located Wiley in the 600 block of Milton Street NW with non-life-threatening gunshot injuries. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
According to the preliminary police investigation, Wiley allegedly shot Crowder, who then returned fire, injuring Wiley. The incident remains under active investigation by the Roanoke Police Department.
