At that time, following his dismissal from Nebraska, Frost wasn’t ready for a sideline comeback. His enthusiasm was evident, stating, ‘This place gave me a start, and I kind of gave it a start in some way.’

This swift decision also allowed UCF to secure commitments from 10 high school recruits during the signing period.
Taking charge as head coach involves forming a reliable coaching staff, a task Frost plans to approach methodically. While he might consider bringing back familiar faces from his successful 2017 team, he stressed the need for thoughtfulness given the unexpected job opening. He reassured stakeholders, saying, ‘I want to make sure I get the right guys.’

Frost hinted at Beckton’s potential role, given his longstanding association with the Knights and prior collaboration with Frost at Nebraska.
