Police are actively searching for a suspect involved in a violent incident that occurred on Tuesday night outside a Tamiami restaurant.
The incident unfolded at approximately 7:40 p.m. near Sabor Cubano Cafeteria, located in a shopping plaza on Southwest 8th Street. According to reports, a man began harassing a waitress within the restaurant. In response, a customer chose to intervene, resulting in a confrontation that moved outside to the parking lot.
As tensions escalated, the argument intensified and turned physical, leading to the suspect brandishing a knife and stabbing the intervening customer. The victim was subsequently transported to HCA Kendall Florida Hospital, where medical staff reported he was in critical condition, struggling for his life.
Local authorities from Miami-Dade Police are now on the hunt for the suspect, who fled the scene immediately after the incident. Descriptions provided by witnesses indicate that the suspect is a white Latino male, approximately 5-foot-5 with ‘royal blue’ hair. The police have urged anyone with relevant information to come forward and contact the Miami-Dade Police Department to aid in the investigation.
