A shooting on Thursday afternoon in Fort Lauderdale’s Durrs neighborhood has resulted in injuries to a 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man, as confirmed by local law enforcement.
According to the Fort Lauderdale police department, officers arrived at the 1200 block of Northwest Eighth Street shortly before 4:30 p.m. The officers found the two teenagers with gunshot wounds and promptly administered tactical medical care. Both victims were subsequently transported to Broward Health Medical Center, where they were admitted as trauma alert patients.
Detective Ali Adamson, a spokesperson for the agency, reported that the suspect or suspects had fled the scene before police arrived. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident. Adamson emphasized that the authorities are actively seeking information from the public to help identify and apprehend those responsible.
