Pro Football Hall of Famer Champ Bailey, along with his family, brought early holiday cheer to the children of Charlton County by hosting the ‘Toys for Joy’ Christmas event. This celebration, held in Folkston, Ga., attracted 125 delighted youngsters eager to participate in the festivities and receive special gifts.
The holiday season in Folkston, Ga. was made brighter thanks to the efforts of Champ Bailey and his family. Alongside the Divas By Chance organization, they orchestrated a memorable Christmas party as part of their ongoing commitment to the community. Champ Bailey, reflecting on his deep ties to the region, expressed, “This is home and this is easy to do for me because they deserve it.” His dedication to giving back underscores the importance he places on supporting the area where he grew up.
The event catered to children aged 3 to 12, who not only received presents but also enjoyed a variety of engaging activities. Among the highlights were games, arts and crafts, a captivating magic show, and creative face painting sessions. Elaine Bailey, emphasizing the family’s commitment to their roots, stated, “This is home and we have a responsibility to help take care of home. This is what we do. We give what we can to the children especially as well as the parents.”
This year marks the second occasion that the Champ Bailey Family Foundation has organized such a joyful event in Bailey’s hometown.
