Stabbing Incident in Kissimmee Over Pizza Delivery Tip

A violent altercation over a pizza delivery tip led to a brutal stabbing in Kissimmee, Florida, authorities report. The suspect, 22-year-old Brianna Alvelo, allegedly forced her way into a Riviera Motel room and attacked a woman following a dispute about gratuity.

The disturbing incident began when a pregnant woman ordered pizza from a local restaurant on December 22. Alvelo delivered the order, which amounted to $33.10. The customer handed Alvelo $50, expecting to receive change, but was informed that making change was against the delivery policy, as stated in the arrest report.

In an attempt to provide a smaller tip, the customer searched for smaller bills in her belongings and received assistance from her boyfriend. Eventually, Alvelo received a $2 tip, which reportedly upset her.

Later, Alvelo allegedly returned to the motel room accompanied by a man wielding a firearm. Authorities say the duo forced entry into the room where the altercation escalated, resulting in Alvelo stabbing the woman multiple times. During the invasion, items were reportedly taken from the room.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office has charged Alvelo with a range of serious offenses, including home invasion with a firearm, attempted murder, kidnapping, and aggravated assault. The male accomplice remains unidentified.

Prosecutors have argued for no bond to be set, highlighting the severity of the charges. They stated, “State believes that this is a punishable by life offense… There should be no bond set and it should not be set for the pre-trial detention hearing.”

This alarming incident underscores the severe consequences that can arise from disputes over seemingly minor issues such as tipping. It serves as a grave reminder of the potential dangers involved in such confrontations.
