Haile Selassie Richards is believed to have fatally shot Clayous Peart inside a residence located on Northwest 70th Avenue and W. Sunrise Boulevard, according to investigators. Following the incident, Richards reportedly fled the scene in a vehicle belonging to his mother, only to crash it on W. Sunrise Boulevard before escaping on foot.
Despite an extensive search involving police perimeters, K-9 units, and a helicopter, Richards has not yet been apprehended. He is described as a Black man of Jamaican descent, approximately 5-foot-5 in height and weighing around 120 pounds, with a notable R.I.P. cross tattoo on his right shoulder.
