Sylvester Stallone Abandons Seaweed Barrier Project After Local Opposition

Sylvester Stallone has decided to withdraw his proposal for a seaweed barrier outside his Palm Beach home following significant local opposition.

During a recent Palm Beach town council meeting, residents expressed strong disapproval of Sylvester Stallone’s plan to install a seaweed barrier in the waters surrounding his $35 million property. The barrier was intended to tackle issues such as seaweed, garbage, and privacy concerns from onlookers and boaters. In a statement during the meeting on December 19, Stallone highlighted the environmental and privacy challenges, mentioning the impact on local wildlife and his desire to restore the area’s past aesthetic. “It’s nice to be appreciated, but there’s a tremendous amount of looky-loos, fishermen, tour boats and so turtles have been hit,” he remarked. However, his neighbors had concerns about the potential environmental impact and the consequences for local navigation.

One resident, Susan Gary, likened the situation to living near an airport, arguing that purchasing property in such an area comes with certain expected conditions. Another resident pointed out that the limited amount of seaweed suggests the proposal was more about privacy than environmental preservation. After weighing these concerns, a member of the Stallone family team announced that Stallone would withdraw the application, prioritizing harmony with neighbors and the community’s best interests.

Sylvester Stallone has resolved to respect local concerns and has retracted his plans for the seaweed barrier in a move that emphasizes community over individual preference.
