A judge has determined the bond for a Tampa man accused of unlawfully recording a minor in a bathroom at a popular theme park.
George Graham, a 42-year-old resident of Tampa, has been charged with one count of digital voyeurism. The incident allegedly occurred on New Year’s Day at Busch Gardens when two minors entered a restroom. One minor noticed Graham purportedly attempting to record from above an adjoining stall and promptly alerted an adult.
The adult, aware of the situation, reported the incident to an off-duty police officer stationed at the park, resulting in Graham’s arrest. The police department in Tampa has since been handling the case, and Judge J. Logan Murphy set Graham’s bond at $25,000 during a recent court session.
This is not Graham’s first run-in with the law regarding such activities. In 2019, he faced similar accusations at a movie theater in Hillsborough County. Court records from that time describe a scenario in which a victim observed a cell phone positioned under a restroom stall, recording upwards. Graham was then confronted and arrested, although the charges were later reduced from video voyeurism to trespassing.
Busch Gardens has emphasized its commitment to guest safety, highlighting the swift actions taken by their security team and police to address the incident. Graham has since been banned from the park.
As this case unfolds, Graham’s public defender has opted not to comment on the matter. The situation continues to develop with attention on court proceedings and potential outcomes.
The accusations against George Graham underscore the ongoing challenges of ensuring public safety in communal spaces. As the legal process continues, the community remains observant of developments in the case.
