According to an Arkansas State Police fatal crash report, the incident occurred at approximately 10:55 a.m. on January 14, 2026. Investigators state that Furches was operating a 2023 Freightliner eastbound on CW Post Road at the time of the collision.
The report indicates that Furches’ vehicle struck a 2020 Volvo driven by 55-year-old Dinh Linh Hong of Morrow, Georgia, who was traveling southbound on Moore Road. Hong sustained injuries in the crash and was treated by medical personnel at the scene.
Witnesses who arrived shortly after the accident observed that a temporary stop sign at the intersection appeared to have fallen over, potentially obscuring traffic control requirements.
