AUSTIN, Texas — An AMBER Alert has been issued for 12-year-old Jazzlyn Neveah Anzora, who was reported missing early Tuesday morning from the North Austin area. The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) activated the emergency notification following her disappearance from the Wells Branch neighborhood.

According to the Texas DPS, Anzora was last seen at approximately 12:00 a.m. on February 24 in the 1700 block of Wells Branch Parkway. Investigators believe she may be in the company of 18-year-old Henry Mejia. Law enforcement officials have described Anzora as standing 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighing approximately 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. At the time of her disappearance, she was reportedly wearing a red sweater, a white long-sleeve shirt, Christmas-themed pants, and carrying a Nike backpack.

Authorities have identified the suspect as Henry Mejia, described as a white male, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. Police noted a distinguishing physical characteristic: a shaved line on his eyebrow. Investigators state that Mejia may be driving a 2017 red Ford Mustang bearing Texas license plate VVK 2712. The vehicle is reported to have aftermarket chrome wheels and an Instagram logo sticker on the passenger-side window.

It is important to note that all individuals, including the suspect identified in this alert, are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Investigative Outlook

The activation of an AMBER Alert indicates that law enforcement believes the child is in immediate danger. The specificity of the vehicle description—particularly the aftermarket modifications and window sticker—suggests that investigators are relying heavily on public vigilance to locate the suspect’s vehicle in the Austin metropolitan area or surrounding regions. Residents are urged to call 911 immediately if they spot the vehicle or the individuals described.
