Three men from Shelby Township, Michigan, have been arrested and are facing multiple felony charges after law enforcement officials dismantled what they described as a “sophisticated, multi-state trafficking network.” The operation, which culminated in searches on November 6, led to the seizure of approximately 1,500 pounds of marijuana, significant amounts of cash, and multiple firearms.
The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office executed four search warrants at three residences and one business in Shelby Township. In addition to the large quantity of marijuana, authorities reported seizing hundreds of THC vape pens, edibles, five guns, and $380,000 in cash. Five vehicles, including two Lincoln Navigators and a Cadillac Escalade, were also confiscated, along with smaller quantities of crack cocaine, ketamine, and mushrooms.
The individuals arrested were identified as Mark Gojcaj, 21; Fabio Asmar, 30; and Martino Abed, 35. According to the sheriff’s office, the network was involved in selling bulk quantities of marijuana, primarily to buyers outside of Michigan. All three men have been charged with delivery and manufacture of 45 kilograms or more of marijuana, conspiracy, and maintaining a drug house.
Following their arraignment, each of the three men was granted a $100,000 cash-only bond. It is important to note that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
