Investigators state that a 66-year-old man was pumping gas when three teenagers exited a vehicle, held the victim at gunpoint, and commandeered his Nissan Rogue SUV.
Police authorities report that a family member of the victim was able to track the stolen vehicle via a phone left inside the SUV. This real-time data allowed officers to locate the vehicle approximately 20 minutes later. A pursuit ensued, lasting for roughly one mile to the intersection of Belmont and Girard avenues. At this location, police allege the teenage driver rammed a patrol vehicle before continuing the flight.
