In the early hours of Wednesday on Christmas morning, a violent incident unfolded outside a restaurant in Miramar, leading to a tragic outcome. Disturbing 911 calls have been released, detailing the desperate pleas for help following a triple shooting that claimed two lives and left one person injured.
Three individuals were quickly transported to Memorial Regional Hospital after being declared trauma alerts. Law enforcement was called to the site of the incident, located at the IHOP on Miramar Parkway and Red Road, at approximately 1:22 a.m. One of the distressing calls came from a customer who reported, “We got a shootout in Miramar, at the IHOP. Someone is dead over here!”
Witnesses inside the IHOP described a chaotic scene as gunfire erupted, resulting in injuries both inside and outside the establishment. A caller stated the necessity for urgent emergency services, recounting how someone was shot just outside the restaurant. Police later confirmed three victims were involved: two women and one man.
In a statement, a Miramar Police spokesperson highlighted the targeted nature of the shooting, noting that the victims were known to each other. The chaotic scene involved two vehicles left riddled with bullet holes, and one of these had visible blood splatter.
