FAIRFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Two women identified as habitual retail theft suspects were taken into custody Friday following an operation by the U.S. Marshals Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST). Danielle Custard and Latoya Carter were arrested for their alleged involvement in a series of thefts spanning multiple years and jurisdictions throughout the Greater Cincinnati area.
According to the Fairfield Township Police Department, investigators identified Custard and Carter as frequent suspects in retail theft incidents occurring between 2019 and 2026. Authorities stated that the pair faced numerous legal challenges, accumulating a significant number of active felony and misdemeanor warrants across state lines. The warrants originated from several jurisdictions, including Butler County, Warren County, and Hamilton County in Ohio, as well as Boone County in Kentucky.
Law enforcement officials reported that at the time of their arrest, Custard had 24 active warrants, while Carter had eight.
